Sends a plain text message to a customer on a connected Instagram account. For WhatsApp, use Send Whatsapp Text Message.

Before you call

• Set channelType to INSTAGRAM.
• from is your connected Instagram account's username and to is the customer's username, both without the @ (e.g. acme.store).
• The account must be connected and the customer must already exist in DoubleTick. This API does not create customers.
• The customer must have messaged you in the last 24 hours.
• content.text is required and cannot be blank.

How it works

• The message is queued for sending. A 200 confirms it was accepted, not delivered. status is always SENT.
• The response contains recipient (the to you sent), status and the messageId DoubleTick assigned.

Rate limit

• 50 requests per second.
